NeurotechEU for students
The University of Bonn places great emphasis on the involvement of students in decision-making and therefore very much welcomes the establishment of a student council within NeurotechEU Bonn.
Multidisciplinary studies
NeurotechEU’s mission is to build a trans-European network of excellence in brain research and technologies to increase the competitiveness of European education, research, economy and society. The project aims to create an international and
multidisciplinary education institution through establishing online courses, study and research exchanges across disciplines and countries as well as internship and inter-sectoral training opportunities. Working towards this goal, student wishes are taken into account. These were collected through a survey with the participation of more than 3,500 students (which you can read here https://theneurotech.eu/promise).

NeurotechEU Student Council (NtSC)
The NeurotechEU Student Council represents the interests of about 170,000 students at all stages of academic training. Any student enrolled at any NeurotechEU alliance member institution may be a member of the NtSC and participate in their meetings and activities. There is no formal membership application or status.
Student Council in the Alliance
In their activities and collaborations, the NtSC strives to act according to the principles of
- fairness,
- open-mindedness,
- reliability
- and equity.
The NtSC also nominates student representatives to all work packages within NeurotechEU and the Board of Governors. It also works to establish communication structures amongst the alliance, and to industry. Moreover, it organizes events, seminars and will provide a social platform for the benefit of students.
The number of voting representatives in the student council from each partner university is limited to four. Yet, the involvement of additional students is always welcome!
