Call for Applications: 2 Scholarships for master and PhD students

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche is pleased to invite you to the NeurotechEU Winter School on "Challenges and risks of neuroscience and neurotechnology in times of Artificial Intelligence”. The Winter School will take place from December 16-18, 2024 in Elche, Spain.

The course is focused on analyzing the intersections between neuroscience and artificial intelligence from an ethical and legal perspective. To this end, prominent experts in bioethics, philosophy, law, and technology will examine topics such as the ethics of artificial intelligence (AI), neuro-rights, the legal and social implications of applied neuroscience, and the risks associated with integrating AI into neuroscience.

Participants will attend different sessions where experts analyze the ethics of AI, neuro-rights, the legal and social implications of applied neuroscience, and the risks associated with integrating AI into neuroscience.

Profile of participants:

The NeurotechEU Hackathon’s target audiences are bachelor and master students as well as PhD candidates in neuroscientific disciplines.

In order to apply for a scholarship, you must be a student enrolled at the University of Bonn or doctoral student employed at the University of Bonn/ University Hospital Bonn. 

How can you apply?

To receive a NeurotechEU scholarship for the Winter School in Elche, please send the following documents to our NTEU Project Office:

  • Motivation letter (max. one page)
  • CV
  • Transcript of Records of your current study program (Master students)
  • Verification of your status at Uni Bonn

Accommodation, travel costs and lunch during the three-day stay will be covered by NeurotechEU.
