DONDERS (f)MRI TOOL-KIT Advanced MRI acquisition and analysis DONDERS (f)MRI TOOL-KIT

Call for applications: 2 Scholarships for PhD students or Senior Researchers

Donders Center for Cognitive Neuroimaging at Radboud University invites PhD students and senior researchers to The Donders Advanced (f)MRI Toolkit which will be held from September 16-20, 2024.

The intensive 5-day course will provide an overview of the MR Methods (that can be) used in Cognitive Neuroimaging. The first part of the course covers the basic MR physics needed to obtain MR signal, create MR images and discusses the physical mechanisms driving the MRI contrast (beyond fMRI) and artifacts. The second part of the course is dedicated to model free and model based fMRI processing strategies, functional and structural connectivity analyses. Finally, considerations on data organization and “big data” processing will be covered.

Each day will consist of a well-balanced mix of lectures and hands-on sessions. The hands-on sessions are mostly based around FSL and Python. Direct interactions with the lecturers will be promoted throughout.

Profile of participants

The workshops target audiences are PhD students and Senior Researchers in neuroscientific disciplines, bioengineering, clinical or neurophysiology, data science and neurobiological sciences interested in (f)MRI research.

In order to apply for a NeurotechEU scholarship, you must be a doctoral student/researcher affiliated with the University of Bonn or University Hospital Bonn.

How can you apply?

To receive a NeurotechEU scholarship for the DONDERS (f)MRI TOOL-KIT in Nijmegen, please send the following documents to our NTEU Project Office:

  • Motivation letter (max. one page)
  • CV
  • Verification of your status at Uni Bonn/UKB

Accommodation, travel costs and the costs for registration will be covered by NeurotechEU.

Should the workshop prove to be of interest to you, please send your application documents by August 18, 2024 in one PDF file by e-mail to the NTEU Mobility Manager Ms. Sina Loos: s.loos@uni-bonn.de
